A great week from the Toronto boys as things are really looking like they’re coming together. Performances are fluid, Threes are flying in and this is all backed up by great defence, leading to a 4-0 week. Let’s review the players individually:

Starters:

Kyle Lowry [A]

An awesome week for the talisman as he has finally found his three point range, meaning his creativity is backed up by solid point scoring. He scored over 20 points in all of his games which is a great return.

Demar Derozan [A]

He’s learning to shake off the double team like the elite scorer he is. He has found the form to be a consistent 25+ player now, you know every time he takes a mid-range jumper, it’s going in.

Pascal Siakam [A-]

I am VERY impressed with this rookie, he is improving his point scoring to hit 10+ every game, and he is very useful in the paint.

Demarre Carroll [A]

Carroll continues his great form, as he is shooting around 46% from range.

Jonas Valanciunas [B+]

Quiet in terms of point scoring, but his link up play and rebounding is solid as always.

Bench:

Norman Powell [B+]

A great game against the Lakers (16 points, 7 rebounds) shows what a great asset he can be off the bench.

Terrence Ross [B]

Like JV, a more quiet week, but a great cameo against the 76ers, with 22 points, shows his talent.

Cory Joseph [B]

Joseph is coming back into his own – and a great person to have come on when Lowry needs a break.

Pattrick Patterson [A-]

58% from range! A double-double against the Grizzlies showed his worth.

Bebe and Rookies [B+]

Noguiera has definitely been more consistent, and Dwane Casey appears to be upping his minutes every game.

Poeltl, VanVleet and Bruno Caboclo have all got minutes, and have used them well to showcase their raw talent.
