It is being reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports that Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs is leaning towards retirement. Tim Duncan has been in the league since 1997 and at the age of 40 he may feel the time is right to call it quits.
According to the Yahoo Sources, Duncan has ‘left everyone with a belief’ that he is going to announce his retirement after 19 seasons in the NBA, he has spent all of those seasons playing for the San Antonio Spurs.
Duncan has never been an injury prone player, but at the age of 40 he has suffered with a couple of knee issues and they caused him to miss 22 games last year.
Duncan will retire as one of the best ever basketball players as he has made ten all NBA first teams, 15 all star games and he has also won five championships.
