Twitter: The Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets are discussing a deal that would send Trey Burke out for Ty Lawson, league sources tell The Tribune (@Tjonessltrib)
It is being reported by Tony Jones of the Salt Lake tribune that the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets are mulling over a trade that would send Lawson to Utah in exchange for Trey Burke. Both players are point guards so in a way it would be a like for like swap. Utah have reportedly been interested in Lawson for some time and they may have found a way to get their man.
Lawson has battled some personal problems in recent months and has therefore performed below expectations in Houston and has only averaged six points per game despite being seen as a perfect foil for James Harden.
Trey Burke has become a frustrating player, he was acquired by the Jazz for Shabazz Muhammad on draft day in 2013 but he has been a high volume low percentage scorer so far as proven by his 37% career shooting percentage.
A trade will need to be done by tomorrow but it seems as if talks are progressing.
