Twitter: ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings are going ahead with a coaching change and plan to fire George Karl in coming days (@ESPNSteinLine)
It is being reported by Marc Stein of ESPN that the Sacramento Kings are likely to fire their coach George Karl in the coming days. There have long been reports of a rift in the Sacramento camp and it appears that General Manager Vlade Divac is set to bite the bullet with the former Denver Nuggets and Seattle Supersonics coach.
Karl is the best coach Sacramento have had since Rick Adelman left the franchise in 2006 but he appears to have created problems with the likes of Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins because of his strict management style.
it is expected that Divac will let Coach Karl finish their road trip which ends tonight with a game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Kings are currently 21-31 and have lost nine of their last ten games conceding over 110 points per game in that span.
This could be George Karl’s last rodeo and most NBA fans would agree this would be a sad way for him to depart the League.
